ये वैबसाइट उत्तरा नेरूर्कर ने वैदिक ज्ञान के प्रसार के लिए बनाई है – वह ज्ञान जो आज के युग में लुप्तप्राय हो गया है । उत्तरा नेरूर्कर एक वैदिक विदुषी और संस्कृतज्ञ हैं । पिछले बीस वर्षों से वे वेद, उपनिषद्, दर्शन-शास्त्र, मनुस्मृति, आदि, व वैदिक व लौकिक संस्कृत का अध्ययन व अध्यापन कर रही हैं । उनके लेख प्रतिष्ठित वैदिक पत्रिकाओं, जैसे दयानन्द-सन्देश, वेदवाणी, वेद-ज्योति, आदि, में नियमित रूप से छपते रहते हैं । उनके शोधपत्र राष्ट्रीय और अन्तरराष्ट्रीय सम्मेलनों और जर्नलों में पढ़े गए हैं । स्कूल, कालेज व अन्य सामाजिक सम्मेलनों, जैसे विकी कर्णाटक की वैदिक परिषद्, भारतीय विद्या भवन, आदि, में उनके प्रवचन बहुत सराहे गए हैं । उपनिषदों, योगदर्शन व सांख्यदर्शन पर उनकी हिन्दी व अंग्रेजी में पांच पुस्तकें (‘बुक्स’ पृष्ठ के अन्तर्गत निर्दिष्ट) और यूट्यूब् पर अनेकों विडियो अत्यन्त लोकप्रिय हैं ।

वे आइ०आइ०टी-कानपुर से बी०टैक्० हैं और उन्होंने इससे पहले लगभग पन्द्रह वर्ष कैमिकल इन्जीनियरिंग और आइ०टी० के क्षेत्रों में काम किया । इन्फोसिस में सौफ्टवेयर अन्वेषक के रूप में उनके शोधपत्र अन्तरराष्ट्रीय जर्नलों और सम्मेलनों में छपे और पढ़े गए ।

This site is an effort by Uttara Nerurkar to disseminate Vedic knowledge. She is a Vedic Scholar who has been studying and teaching the Vedas, Upanishads, Darshan Shastras, Manusmrti and other such ancient texts, along with Sanskrit – both Laukik and Vedic, for the last twenty years. She has been a regular writer in reputed Vedic magazines like Dayanand-Sandesh, Vedvani, Ved-jyoti, etc. Her presentations in schools, colleges and other community forums like the Vedic Council of WICCI Karnataka, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, CelebratingIndia.org, Indica, etc., have been very well received. She has presented scholarly papers in national and international conferences like the 16th World Sanskrit Conference, Bangkok, 2016. Her research papers have also been published in leading journals, like the Journal of the Indian Council of Philosophical Research. She is the author of five popular books (in Hindi and English and listed under Books on this website) on the Upanishads, Yogadarshana and Sankhyadarshana. She has created many videos and has a large following on YouTube (handle: @IndianVedas).

Uttara is a B.Tech. from IIT-Kanpur and has worked for 15 years as a Chemical Engineer and a Software Professional. As a Software Researcher at Infosys, her papers were published in international journals, like the IEEE Software Journal, and presented at international conferences, like the 16th IFIP World Computer Congress, Beijing, 2000. She also co-authored the book The Art and Technology of Software Engineering, Tata McGraw Hill.
